WHO IS CESAR CHAVEZ?

Cesar Chavez was a Mexican American labor activist and leader of the United Farm Workers. During the 20Th century he was a leading voice for migrant farm workers (people who move from place to place in order to find work). His tireless leadership focused national attention on these laborers' terrible working conditions, which eventually led to improvements.

why the people celebrate Cesar Chavez holiday?- a man who fought for social justice and civil rights for thousands who have faced discrimination and unfair treatment. He served to help all immigrants and farm workers across America, so why should his life only be celebrated and recognized by California? Why can't he be recognized nationally for his passion for social justice?
